Toffee Chocolate Chip cookies

Toffee Chocolate Chip cookies

This is my secret recipe and these cookies are AWESOME.

Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 Cup softened butter
- 1 Cup sugar in the raw
- 1 Cup packed brown sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ½ Cups flour
- 1 Teaspoon baking soda
- 2 Teaspoons hot water
- ½ Teaspoon salt* (*only if using unsalted butter)
- 1 Cup semisweet or bitter sweet chocolate chips
- 1 Cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 Cup toffee chips (or a full bag of Heath toffee chips for extra chewy cookies!)


1.Preheat oven to 350°.

2.Cream together butter and all sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs, then vanilla. Dissolve the baking soda in hot water and add to batter with salt. Stir in flour and all chips.

3.Spoon onto ungreased baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until edges are browned.

  1. These were excellent! My guys are still talking about them! In the future, I probably wouldn't give them to Spawn after 6PM, but with reasonable caution about the sugar and chocolate content, I'll probably try baking these for my guys sometime soon.

  2. The key is good chocolate chips! Ghiradelli is best.
